GYPSY MOTH ALERT:  
The Caribou Lake area is scheduled to have Disrupt II
applied by a fleet of 6 planes for a 3 day period
over the entire area. Licensed applicator pilots apply Disrupt II from small planes flying at low elevations
100 – 200 feet). Global Positioning Systems are used to ensure application accuracy. Open bodies of water are excluded from treatment. Based on weather conditions, the application is could begin on July 31 (North Shore is scheduled between July 24 and August 15).  Normal working hours are 7 am to 5 pm, but can go as late as 7 pm.

The plastic flakes (the size of a large rice kernel) will be applied at a rate of about 2 kernels per
square foot and will sink if in water.
To help area citizens stay informed, the MDA has set up an Arrest the Pest Hotline at 651-201-MOTH or 1-888-545-6684.  The hotline offers the latest details about treatment dates and times.
