Mission Statement

BYLAWS OF LAKE BEAUTY ASSOCIATION, INC.

These bylaws adopted on this 24th day of August, 1991, shall be used to govern this organization until amended, modified or otherwise changed by the membership.

ARTICLE I.

NAME:  The name of this organization shall be LAKE BEAUTY ASSOCIATION, INC..

ARTICLE II.

The principal office of the corporation shall be located at Rural Route 1, Box 154, City of Long Prairie, County of Todd, Minnesota 56347.

ARTICLE III.

PURPOSE:  This corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and education al purposes pursuant to Chapter 317A, Minnesota Statutes.  In addition to these general purposes, but not limited to:

(1) exercise, promote, and protect the privileges and interest of the residents/owners on or near Lake Beauty.

(2) keep the clarity of Lake Beauty waters by identifying potential and real sources of pollution and educate the membership to utilize available resources to accomplish this.

(3) be aware of current weed control methods to promote spawning beds for fish propagation, and to study local weed control and make recommendation on desirable changes.

(4) inform, education and encourage fair, equal assessment procedures statewide for shoreland property both permanent and seasonal.

ARTICLE IV.

MEMBERSHIP: The membership of the association shall consist of any and all interested persons concerned with the overall welfare of Lake Beauty.

ARTICLE V.

DUES: Annual dues shall be $20.00 per unit. This amount shall be subject to change at the recommendation of the Board of Directors. A unit shall consist of any and all legal owners of a lot or lots as recorded in the Office of the Todd County Recorder.

ARTICLE VI.

VOTING PRIVILEGES: Any unit of property which has a paid up membership in this association shall be entitled to one vote on association matters.
