High-Water Damage Survey

Lake Shamineau has seen continuously rising water levels for several decades which is negatively affecting the lake and property around the lake. The Lake Shamineau Association and Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District are interested in understanding the causes of the lake level increases. They seek a long term solution to protect the quality of Lake Shamineau and to protect property from further damages.

The Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District is planning to contract with an environmental firm that will formulate a long-term lake high water level solution and a plan with cost estimates for engineering, permitting, potential construction and long-term operation and maintenance.

In an effort to gather information for potential DNR Flood Damage Reduction Grants, property owners were requested to complete the High-Water Impact Assessment survey up until May 31,
