What Do You Know About Ground Water – Drinking Water?
Event already held .….video here
We are concerned about water quality, not just in the lake, but also the ground water coming from your well.
The Whitefish Area Property Owners Association (WAPOA) continues to support its water quality mission with this forthcoming workshop on Thursday, August 25, 2016.
We invite our members, local government officials, lake associations, neighbors and all interested persons to this event.
Sarah Fogderud, A.W. Research Laboratories, Brainerd, will present information about drinking water in our area. A.W. Research Laboratories offers in-house laboratory testing for drinking water, wastewater, surface water, groundwater, and stormwater.
A.W. Research Laboratories has been working with local homeowners and lake association members to document the arsenic concentration in groundwater throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area. Sarah will address this during the workshop.
MPCA’s Scott Lucas, Watershed Biologist, and Kevin Stroom, Stressor ID specialist, will be presenting on ground water protection, basics of state law on drinking water, and land use activities related to ground water
The workshop/seminar will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 25 at the Crosslake Community Center, 14126 Daggett Pine Road, Crosslake, MN 56442
